AgiBot X2 (Lingxi X2)
Full-stack open-source humanoid running AgiBot's GO-1 embodied-AI model
Open-source embodied AI from one of China's fastest-rising humanoid startups
AgiBot — known in China as Zhiyuan Robotics (智元机器人) — was founded in Shanghai in 2023 by a team including former Huawei 'Genius Youth' engineer Peng Zhihui (稚晖君). In barely two years it has grown into one of China's best-funded and most talked-about humanoid companies, frequently named alongside Unitree as a domestic leader. Its strategy centres on open embodied AI: the company released the AgiBot World dataset — one of the largest open robot-manipulation datasets — and the GO-1 vision-language-action foundation model that powers its robots. The Lingxi X2 (sold internationally as the AgiBot X2) is its full-stack open-source bipedal humanoid, with both the hardware design and the software released for researchers and developers. AgiBot's bet is that an open data-and-model ecosystem, rather than closed hardware, is how general-purpose humanoids will scale.
