Overview

The Booster T1 is a compact (~1.18 m, ~30 kg) developer humanoid from Beijing's Booster Robotics (加速进化) — and the champion machine of the RoboCup 2025 AdultSize soccer league, where a Tsinghua team running T1s won the German Open final 9-0. Built to be knocked over and get back up, it pairs a 200-TOPS Nvidia Jetson Orin brain with full ROS2 support at $33,949 internationally (¥199,000 in China). It is a research and competition platform, not a life-size or home robot — and, priced for what it is, one of the best-value serious research bipeds you can buy.

Pros & Cons

Strengths

  • RoboCup 2025 AdultSize champion — proven, competition-bred robustness
  • Withstands a 15 N·s impact and self-rights (active fall + stand-up)
  • Nvidia Jetson AGX Orin brain (200 TOPS); full ROS2, C++/Python
  • Compact ~1.18 m, ~30 kg developer platform at an accessible $33,949
  • Backed by Beijing funding and 700+ shipments to 20+ countries

Weaknesses

  • Compact developer biped, not a life-size or home humanoid
  • Modest payload: 1 kg single hand, 3 kg both hands
  • Overseas support/repairs run through a distributor, not Booster directly
  • Newer company with a shorter track record than incumbents
